SAVE THE HEART in collaboration with Sagarmatha Television and Triveni Public Higher Secondary School, Pokhara has organized one day Free Heart Check-Up Camp for the local people residing in Lekhnath Municipality of Pokhara. The program held at Triveni Public Higher Secondary School located at Pokhara, Nepal on 13 feb 2016. At respective camp re-known heart surgeon Dr Anil Bhattarai along with some medical staffs that include ten doctors and six nurses have examined more than 500 patients aged 1 to 85 years. During the camp, ECG, Echo, BP and other tests were conducted free of cost .Out of these registered patients 17 have been advised for further cardiac treatment . Essential medicines were also distributed free. While Dr Akshaya Mishra has given a free dermatological consultation to the needy people in this camp . The camp has received a good response from the people . Meanwhile Mr. Sher Bahadur Rana, MD, Dinesh dhakal, Jeni Shahi, Sabitri Acharya, Uttam Bhudhathoki from NCDTC, Lazimpat and Laxmi Shrestha, Save the Heart Secretary made program effective by their support.
