- Save the Heart, Nepal
Save the Heart, in collaboration with Putalibazaar Municipality and esteemed medical institutions, including the Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center, Saheed Gangalal National Heart Centre, and Nepal Cardio Diabetes and Thyroid Centre, recently organized a two-day Free Heart Health Camp in Putalibazaar Municipality of Syangja District. With additional support from "the Heart of Children" organization from Italy and the dedication of volunteers from Tribhuwan Adarsha Secondary School, the event aimed to provide comprehensive heart health services to the local community.
The camp, held on February 16 and 17, 2024, catered to the diverse needs of the community. On the first day, children from various schools in Putalibazaar Municipality received free health services, highlighting the importance of early detection and prevention of heart diseases. On the second day, adults underwent screenings, consultations, and diagnostic tests, all provided free of cost. A total of 2150 individuals benefited from the camp, reaffirming the critical need for accessible healthcare services in rural areas.
Among the attendees, 45 individuals were identified with heart problems requiring follow-up care. Save the Heart remains committed to providing necessary support and assistance to these individuals, ensuring they receive the care and attention they deserve. Through initiatives like the Free Heart Health Camp in Putalibazaar, Save the Heart continues to uphold its mission of saving lives and promoting heart health, one community at a time.
